Initial Problem - Car would stop moving forward after warmed up. Engine would rev but car would not engage.

Diagnosis & Recommendation - Transmission clutches were burnt. A common issue in this series of Honda's where the transmission fluid was not maintained properly. Recommended a rebuilt transmission or used one. Customer requested that we rebuild this transmission with quality parts.

What we learned from this - It requires even more patience to rebuild an automatic transmission than it does an engine. Every single component needs to be evaluated carefully and measured against manufacturer technical documents. If not you will risk removing the transmission from the vehicle more than once to complete a satisfactory job.

Outcome - We had to remove the transmission twice to perfect the service. The first time the transmission would "THUD" while going into Park. After removing it the second time we learned that one of the joint collars in the assembly was off by a hundreth of an inch. Which was more than enough to cause the issue we were experiencing. After procuring a new joint collar and reinstalling the assembly, we had a smooth operating transmission built for another life of driving.
