About the car:
- Year - 2002
- Make - Ford
- Model - Taurus
- Engine - 3.0 Liter 6 Cylinder DOHC
Initial Problem - Oil is leaking from the rear main seal and the starter is not engaging at all the times. The car makes a "wwrrrriiiinnnnnggggg" type of sound when the customer is trying to start the car.
Diagnosis & Recommendation - We recommended that the customer replace the flywheel and the rear main seal while the transmission was removed from the assembly.
Outcome - While performing this service we found that there were a few other things that needed immediate attention. Namely: motor mounts, transmission mounts, stabilizer links, and the starter. We addressed these items while we had everything apart and the customer was able to save on labor and get all of their issues resolved.
